Maduro: The world needs realistic and fair oil prices


The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, said on Saturday that the agreement between Opec and non-Opec producing countries will achieve oil stability and realistic and fair prices, which the oil and gas industry worldwide needs.
From Azerbaijan, where he made an official visit and signed a series of bilateral agreements with the Government of this Asian nation, he recalled that the world has experienced the longest period in the last 45 years with the lowest crude oil prices, which has affected notably the economies of oil-producing countries.
“I am very optimistic on that agreement would soon be announced and starts a new period of stability in the market, in investments, with viability, profitability, stability in production and new forms of pricing and coordination between Opec (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) and non-Opec membercountries “, he said.
The Venezuelan President said that Venezuela promotes the hydrocarbon sector to take oil as the great lever of diversification of the economy, under the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.
