Agreements with China will increase logistics and production capacity of Venezuela


The 5th Meeting of the Technical Secretariat of the China-Venezuela High Level Joint Committee installed in Caracas, allowed to evaluate strategic partnerships of development maintained between the two countries in the economic, political and social scopes, as stressed Ricardo Menendez, Minister of People’s Power for Planning
He also stressed that the two countries reached agreements to increase logistics capacity and productive capacities of the country to meet the Homeland Plan.
From the “Casa Amarilla Antonio Jose de Sucre” (Headquarters of the Foreign Ministry), Menendez said that at the meeting were reviewed issues related to the strengthening of the productive capacities of the country in different areas, like everything that has to do with the Great Mission Sovereign Supply (GMAS ), as well as everything related to hydrocarbons.
Menendez qualified this meeting as successful. On his behalf, Wu Hongliang, secretary of the China-Venezuela High Level Joint Commission, said that the aforementioned meeting has allowed to define new strategies to further consolidate the positive results that allow economic development to both members.
Until August 17 will take place the work boards of the CMAN as part of the continuous monitoring of bilateral relations between Venezuela and China.
The Chinese Government’s delegation was composed of representatives of the National Commission for Development and Reform (CNDR) and the Chinese Development Bank (CDB) and the Chinese Ambassador to Venezuela, Zhao Bentang.
More than 600 cooperation agreements are maintained by the two countries in areas such as energy, oil, education, health, technology, trade, housing, agribusiness, agriculture, infrastructure, industry, culture and sports.
