El ciclista venezolano Jonathan Monsalve se retiró del contrarreloj masculino de ciclismo de ruta, debido a que el volante de su bicicleta no cumplía con las especificaciones técnicas de la Unión Ciclística Internacional para participar en juegos olímpicos
Monsalve compitió en la prueba de ciclismo de ruta, en donde terminó en el puesto 107.
Esta era la última prueba del pedalista venezolano en los Juegos Olímpicos de río 2016.
