The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized during the commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of November 27th (1992) and the 105th anniversary of the Bolivarian Military Aviation that the threats from the North American empire have strengthened the patriotic consciousness of the Venezuelan people. The President stressed that these actions have awakened a «fabulous force of resistance and national consciousness.»
In his message directed to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Head of State acknowledged 17 weeks of constant threats against national sovereignty. He stressed that Venezuela has managed to occupy «a respectable place in this world as heir to the republican concept of equality, liberty, and the revolutionary concept of democracy of the great Liberator Simón Bolívar.»
He further explained that the Bolivarian Revolution has gained significant lessons during this period. Specifically, he noted that this situation has provided the people and the Bolivarian Government with a political, social, and economic clarity without any historical precedents.
The Commander-in-Chief detailed that during these months, popular, military, and police exercises have been successfully carried out in all the country’s integral defense zones. These exercises, called «Independence 200,» demonstrated an «immense capacity for coordination, command, control, communication, and above all, popular, military, and police unity, which expresses the desire of all Venezuelans to defend our right to peace and stability.»
In the commemorative context, President Maduro emphasized that this November 27th invites to reflect on the current challenges of the Homeland. This historical date acquires a special relevance within the framework of the current geopolitical circumstances the nation is facing.
Finally, the Head of State reaffirmed the joint commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Venezuelan people to the defense of peace and national stability.
