The Vice President for Communication, Culture, and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, denounced the execution of an advanced cognitive war against Venezuela by the United States. This strategy transcends traditional media manipulation to directly attack the psychological processes of the population.
During his participation in the radio program «Al Ritmo de la Seguridad” (To the Rhythm of Security) of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB), hosted by Commander Brigadier General Rubén Santiago, the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information explained that these attacks use emerging technologies to create fictitious scenarios, whose fundamental objective is to hack the human brain through information control and the use of artificial intelligence.
The Minister explained that NATO systematized this doctrine, which leverages social networks and algorithms that scan entire populations to create systems that allow for anticipating behavior and constructing layers of reality fabricated in communication laboratories.
He pointed out that the violent events of 2017 represented a planned digital scandal designed to project the image of a failed state. This operation sought to justify a foreign intervention by manipulating the citizen’s perception.
However, Minister Ñáñez emphasized that in the face of these aggressions, the Venezuelan people have developed immunity through their political maturity and popular organization. He stated that revolutionary consciousness constitutes the main antidote against these strategies of psychological manipulation:
«The United States is implementing its entire cognitive warfare plan against Venezuela, but it has been losing the tactical and strategic battle,» he affirmed, concluding that «Venezuela has shielded itself against cognitive warfare over these 25 years.»
At the end of the program, Minister Ñáñez received the Police Cross of Honor award on its First Class. The award recognizes his contribution to raising public awareness and the fight for peace in Venezuela.
