The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced during the review of assemblies of the Constituent Congress of the Working Class the consolidation of the first export of natural gas to Colombia.
The President specified that the energy shipment is already positioned at the border and will be sold in the coming days.
«Colombia and Venezuela must remain united as brothers, for the benefit of their people, to march together toward the emancipation and independence of the continent,» affirmed the Head of State during his address.
This export represents a milestone in regional energy integration and in the diversification of the Venezuelan economy beyond oil.
He also projected that national oil production will reach 1.2 million barrels per day, through collaborative work with workers in the hydrocarbon sector.
This objective is part of the strategy to boost the national economy and achieve comprehensive social well-being for the population.
In the macroeconomic sphere, the Venezuelan President stated that the national financial system will grow by 9% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during 2025.
This indicator reflects the progressive stabilization of the Venezuelan economy across its various productive sectors.
He emphasized that the country maintains 100% food supply, with over 90% of the items displayed in supermarkets being domestically produced.
These achievements are the result of joint efforts between public institutions and organized grassroots movements.
All these economic advances are part of the implementation of the 7T Plan, a government strategy aimed at strengthening the country’s comprehensive development.
Gas exports to Colombia are a key component of this economic diversification policy.
The realization of this energy export strengthens bilateral cooperation between Venezuela and Colombia, in line with the Bolivarian ideal of regional integration.
This process represents a significant step forward in building shared energy sovereignty between the two nations.
