Within the framework of the «More Communes, More Democracy, More People» segment, President Nicolás Maduro announced that a total of 33,091 community and neighborhood projects have been submitted for the National Popular Consultation to be held on November 23.

The president highlighted the strong participation in the community assemblies, noting that 98% of these assemblies have already taken place nationwide. To organize the election, have been registered 4,856 community circuits, and as of Monday night 91% of the projects had been uploaded to the electoral system.

To cast their votes, 8,508 polling stations have been designated throughout the country. Of this number, 2,518 will be new centers, which aims to facilitate and broaden community participation in this initiative.

The submitted projects cover a diverse range of community development areas. According to the President, 27% of the initiatives are focused on the social sphere, while 6% correspond to scientific projects. Other areas include public services, health, education, security, and the construction of community centers.

President Maduro framed this process within the context of building People’s Power. He highlighted that 80% of community leaders are women and emphasized that this power is based on several components, including awareness, values, the communal economy, and military strength.

Finally, the Head of State praised the fusion between the people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), describing this moment as «the best in the nation’s history.» He stated that, if necessary, the people would stand together with the soldiers to defend the nation, reflecting a civic-military alliance that he considers fundamental to the country’s progress.
