The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called on youth to confront the new challenges posed by the management of information in the mainstream media and on imperialist social media. During his visit to the “Ezequiel Zamora General of the Sovereign People” Military High School in Caracas, the president called on Venezuelan youth to resist campaigns that attempt to label and classify them under foreign terms.
The call was made within the framework of the relaunch of the Great Mission Negro Primero, aimed at strengthening both the operational capacity and the social component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the National Education System. This program underscores the link between military training, education, and community development.
By directly addressing the students, the Head of State referred to the campaign by the global right-wing media: «Now the global right-wing media has a campaign, calling this beautiful youth Generation Z (…) What they call Generation Z, in Venezuela is called the Genius Generation,» he stated, emphasizing young people’s capabilities in science, culture, military art, and leadership.
Along the same lines, the president of the Venezuelan Federation of Secondary Education Students (Feveem), Luis Acosta, highlighted the leading role of youth in the renewal of the organization. He announced that Feveem will expand its influence by formally integrating itself into community councils, which represents a national first in community-based student participation.
From the host institution, Colonel Manuel Santana, director of the Ezequiel Zamora Military High School, recognized the work of the Military Community Brigades for Health and Education (Bricomiles) in maintaining the facilities. He reaffirmed the school’s commitment to providing training that graduates high school graduates in science and technology, preparing the country’s future military generation.
The event also served to connect, via a television link, with the Bolivarian National Guard Training School in Los Teques, Miranda state. The authorities reported significant progress in its rehabilitation, with the restoration of three dormitories with capacity for 600 students, the provision of equipment, and the retrofitting of transport vehicles, significantly improving the cadets’ quality of life.
In his closing message, President Maduro urged young people to go forward with «moral and spiritual dedication,» with the goal of making the «military youth» the best generation educated in the Republic’s high schools, thus consolidating the profile of a youth defined by their brilliant potential and their national roots.
