The DataViva opinion polling firm revealed that 89% of the Venezuelan population holds an unfavorable opinion regarding political leader María Corina Machado. The national survey, conducted through telephone interviews, shows that only 6% of those surveyed approve of her public image, while a 5% preferred not to respond.
The results demonstrate a resounding public rejection of any external action advocated by the political leader. When asked whether a multifactorial attack against Venezuela would contribute to peace in the country, more than 93% of respondents considered these positions to be completely detrimental to national interests.
The majority perception indicates that Machado’s image is not associated with genuine efforts for dialogue or consensus-based solutions. When asked if she had promoted concrete actions aimed at peace, 84% responded negatively, compared with a minimum of 6% who stated the opposite and 10% who abstained from commenting.
The study also addressed the controversial proposal to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the opposition leader, registering a public disapproval of 86%. Only a 4% expressed support for this award, while the remaining 10% were indifferent to the possibility.
The research was conducted on October 10 through 1,500 randomly selected interviews with people over 18 years of age, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of ±1.2%. The results reflect a consolidated public trend toward stability, inclusive dialogue, and the defense of national sovereignty as priority values.
