President Nicolás Maduro addressed the situation the country is experiencing, highlighting the courage of the Venezuelan people in defending their right to «be free.» Through his channel on Telegram, the president sent a message addressed to the entire nation.
He pointed out that, six weeks ago, began a multidimensional aggression against Venezuela. He affirmed that this offensive, far from weakening the country, succeeded in consolidating a «national consensus» around the defense of sovereignty and peace.
The president pointed out that if the «empire» sought an effect of political, economic, or psychological destabilization, it achieved the opposite. He emphasized that, as a result, Venezuela today enjoys «more international support» than before this aggression began.
Regarding the image projected about the country, President Maduro described the narrative about Venezuela, his government, and the Bolivarian Revolution as «extravagant.» He questioned the accusations against his administration, stating that the narrative they attempted to impose «crashed against our truth and dignity.»
The president reiterated the country’s stance of independence with his statement: «We will never be anyone’s slaves!» He made a call to trust in the truth and the glorious history to continue opening paths.
Finally, Maduro concluded that, with spiritual clarity, courage, and preparation, Venezuela will be ready to face any situation that may arise in the future.
