A plane arriving from Texas, United States, landed this Thursday at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía with 200 Venezuelans on board thanks to the Great Mission Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland), a program promoted by President Nicolás Maduro to guarantee the safe and free return of Venezuelans to the country.
The flight, the 71st since the program began, was received by Camilla Fabri, president of the Great Mission Vuelta a la Patria Plan, along with representatives from the Venezuelan State’s Citizen Security agencies.
Fabri emphasized that «Venezuelan citizens have suffered persecution and xenophobia due to the United States’ immigration policy”, and stressed that «despite systematic US aggression, the Bolivarian Government guarantees the dignified return of our fellow citizens.»
With this new group of returnees, more than one million Venezuelans have decided to return to their homeland, benefiting from the social policies implemented by the national government to offer comprehensive assistance to Venezuelan families.
The Great Mission Vuelta a la Patria continues to demonstrate the State’s commitment to Venezuelans abroad and their right to return with dignity to their homeland.
