President Maduro: The power of Venezuela lies in the direct democracy of the people

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that the power of the country lies in its people, emphasizing a democracy with «its feet firmly planted in the ground.» He affirmed that the nation is building with its own hands a new economy and society, walking with autonomy without depending on anyone.

The president made these statements through a video posted on his channel on Telegram, in which he referred to the Plan de la Patria (Homeland Plan). This strategic plan includes Seven Lines of Transformation designed to advance and fight alongside the Venezuelan people in building the nation’s future.

Within this framework, he specified that the national government has prioritized the third line of action. This strategic line focuses on uniting the people’s power, military power, and police power, with the fundamental objective of strengthening the integral defense of the Homeland.

In his speech, the President also addressed the third anniversary of the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles). He highlighted the success of this initiative in restoring key infrastructure such as educational institutions, outpatient clinics, sports facilities, and Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI).

The Military Community Brigades are a blessing for restoring the country’s educational institutions”, Maduro emphasized. This project represents a tangible example of the coordination between different sectors for the benefit of communities and the restoration of public services.

Emphasizing his central message, the President concluded: “Venezuela has a great power: the people, with direct democracy and deep roots in the ground. We don’t depend on anything or anyone!” This statement underscores the vision of an autonomous and endogenous development model based on direct popular participation as the pillar of national power.
