Head of State and political-military high command strengthen national defense against threats

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in his role as Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), held a strategic meeting with the Military General Staff and the Political-Police High Command to evaluate actions to address potential threats to national sovereignty. The meeting took place at the General Command of the Bolivarian National Militia, located in the 23 de Enero neighborhood of Caracas.

During the meeting was analyzed the action plan framed within the Seven Transformations Law (7T), with special emphasis on the Third Transformation (3T), which aims to strengthen logistical and operational capacity to guarantee the country’s political, social, and economic stability. This plan seeks to consolidate national security against both internal and external risks.

In addition, the key role of the Bolivarian Militia, made up of more than 4.5 million properly trained and armed men and women, distributed across the 5,336 Communal Circuits and Peace Quadrants throughout the country, was highlighted.

President Maduro Highlights the Importance of the Militia against «Imperialist Threats»:

Previously, the president participated in an event where he incorporated the militias into the Peace Quadrant system, underscoring their importance in the face of what he described as «extravagant provocations» by the United States government. He referred to the recent deployment of US naval forces in the Caribbean, justified under the guise of combating drug trafficking, but which, according to the Venezuelan government, represents a threat to regional peace.

The president also called for a general enlistment campaign on August 23 and 24, inviting citizens, reservists, and volunteers to join the Militia as part of the Simón Bolívar National System of Sovereignty and Peace, in defense of national sovereignty.

Maduro denounced these foreign actions as seeking to disrupt the stability of the region and called for national unity to confront what he considers an imperialist aggression.
