This Wednesday, Diosdado Cabello, secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), accused the United States of America of a new case of kidnapping, this time involving two Venezuelan children. According to Cabello, the children were separated from their mothers, who returned to the country through the Gran Mision Vuelta a la Patria (Great Mission Return to the Homeland):
“Two mothers who arrived today were deprived of their children at their departure in the airport. This increases the list of children illegally detained in the US. Let’s hope they are not harmed; it is imperative to demand the return of our children,” he declared during his Con El Mazo Dando (Hitting with the Hammer) program.
He also questioned the U.S. immigration authorities’ announcement about the dispatch of 211 Venezuelans, as only 110 arrived: «Did they lose half the list? Or are there no more members of the Tren de Aragua gang there? They claimed their prisons were full of this group,» he ironized.
