The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during his visit to the Los Eucaliptos neighborhood in the San Juan parish of Caracas, reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the construction and execution of youth-led projects elected during the Popular Consultation of last July 27.
The President supported the initiative to build a multipurpose gymnasium and a Youth Center, projects chosen by the community of the Bolívar-Chávez communal circuit in the aforementioned parish. He emphasized that current policy has acquired a humane and ethical dimension, focused on active citizen participation.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the decision of young people to prioritize these spaces, which they consider fundamental to their development:
«I think it’s great that, among seven projects here in this community, you have considered a Youth Center and a multipurpose gym,» he reaffirmed.
He emphasized that these spaces will not only promote sports and culture, but will also serve as meeting and training points for young people.
Support and Revolutionary Commitment:
The Mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, who was also present in the neighborhood, assured that resources and logistical support are being coordinated for the execution of the projects: «We are going to provide support together with our president,» she stated, emphasizing the importance of completing each project aimed at fulfilling the 7 Transformations (7T) of the Plan de la Patria (Homeland Plan).
The rapid execution of these projects, which already have land and resources, is a demonstration of the government’s commitment to the decisions made by the grassroots. Furthermore, it demonstrates that the dreams of young people are and will continue to be a tangible reality in their own communities.
