President Nicolás Maduro called on the country’s working class to build new forms of organization and to end sectarianism, an evil that has been cultivated in politics:
«Let us have faith and confidence in the working class, in the working man and woman. Missiles and rifles for the working class, so that they may defend our homeland,» emphasized the president.
The president, who considers workers as the pillar of the «revolution,» called on them to a constituent assembly process to advance towards a «workers’ power.» The president assigned them three main tasks: to boost national production through the Workers’ Productive Councils (CPT), to develop new forms of organization under the «Workers’ Power» plan, and to strengthen the Militia Corps of the Working Class.
The president urged them to unite all those who can join in building a peaceful and prosperous country and to break with sectarian practices, in order to become a united force that brings together all Venezuelan patriots.
