Diosdado Cabello on the Ultra-right wing and its violent plans: «They’re loudmouths, they’ve always been loudmouths»

The Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, denounced that sectors of the Venezuelan ultra-right wing have historically been «loudmouths» in revealing their violent plans, which has allowed the National Government to act preemptively to protect the people.

During a press conference held this Thursday, the senior official referred to the recent statements by María Corina Machado, whom he linked to what he called the NARCOBAND (drug traffickers, conspirators, and criminal gangs) criminal alliance, on which the opposition leader reportedly announced: «It’s going to happen soon, the good stuff is coming, and they’re already here,» as a clear threat of destabilizing actions.

Cabello recalled that from the United States came warnings about alleged plans by opposition groups to generate acts of violence in Venezuela. Among these, he mentioned possible attacks with explosives on military installations, gas stations, and public places, as well as attacks against political figures from both the Venezuelan government and the opposition.

He criticized that these groups are seeking to create a «communicational impact» with violent actions, mistakenly believing this will gain them popular support: «They think that if they plant a bomb in a police station, the police will come out to support them. This is the reasoning of someone with problems of insanity,» he stated.

The Minister of People’s Power for Internal Affairs, Justice, and Peace warned about calls for clandestinity by these groups, noting that they are part of the same destabilizing strategy. He rejected the idea that the State will not respond to terrorist acts and recalled the recent arrests of people linked to violent plots in different regions of the country.

The Venezuelan leader made it clear that the government will not allow violent actions and will act firmly: «This is the whining of those who call for violence, destabilization, war, and terrorism, and expect the government to stand idly by,» he stated.

Finally, Cabello reiterated that transparency regarding the far-right’s intentions has allowed the Venezuelan state to anticipate their actions. The message was clear: any attempt at violence will be neutralized, reaffirming the government’s stance on protecting the country’s peace and stability.
