President Nicolás Maduro reaffirms his commitment to peace and unity in Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that one year ago, on July 29, 2024, he was proclaimed President-Elect of Venezuela by the National Electoral Council (CNE), following his victory in the presidential elections. On his social media, the president reaffirmed his commitment to the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Revolution.

In his message, the head of state recalled that moment when he assumed the 2025-2031 term with the conviction of defending national sovereignty: «I assume this mandate with deep commitment, something that imperialism will never forgive,» he expressed, underscoring his determination to continue the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez in the face of political challenges.

President Maduro recalled how, after his electoral victory, opposition sectors attempted to destabilize the country through violent attacks and mercenary actions. However, he emphasized that tranquility was restored within 48 hours: «We demonstrated that love will always overcome,» he stated, emphasizing the resilience of the Venezuelan people.

«May peace and unity among everyone be irreversible and great. That is our goal!» declared the dignitary, reiterating his message of national reconciliation and his commitment to consolidating political and social stability, despite past tensions.

In the elections of 2024, the candidate of the Revolution, Nicolás Maduro, obtained 5,150,092 votes, surpassing the opposition candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, who obtained 4,445,977 votes. These results confirmed his leadership and the support of a significant segment of the electorate. One year after his proclamation, the Venezuelan president continues prioritizing peace and national unity.
