President Maduro: “We are fighting for a homeland of peace for girls and boys”

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro emphasized that children “represent a great treasure” during his message for Children’s Day on July 20. Through his channel on Telegram, the president affimed: “We celebrate the sacred treasure they represent; they are our commitment: either there is a homeland for children, or there is no homeland for nobody!”

President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed his goal of building “a Venezuela of peace, life, opportunities, and a secure future” for Venezuelan children. He emphasized that his government’s priority is to fully guarantee the fundamental rights of all children in the country.

The Head of State specified that these rights include access to healthcare, education, and recreation. He noted that this effort seeks to build “a profoundly humane society, with values of solidarity, unity, and love.”

In his message, the President expressed his prayer to God for strength in this mission. «May our children grow up happy, well-educated, and with good examples,» he manifested.

Finally, President Maduro recognized children as «the future of the Homeland,» pledging to work «with all our hearts» for their well-being. He concluded his message by extending a «Happy Day!» to all the country’s minors.
