General Vladimir Padrino López, Minister of People’s Power for Defense of Venezuela, announced that more than 5,000 young people have recently joined the educational programs of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), especially in careers related to health sciences.
During the academic ceremony for 51 military doctors and 23 nurses who graduated from the Bolivarian Military University, which took place this Tuesday, Minister Padrino López emphasized that a significant number of young Venezuelans see the Military Academy of Medicine as a solid alternative within the national education system, reinforced by its military vocation. He also highlighted the commitment of the new generations to the protection and progress of the country.
In his speech, the head of the Defense Office honored Commander Hugo Chávez, describing his entry into the FANB: «Those who knew him as a cadet recognized his military leadership, his profound historical knowledge, and his passion for the national and international political processes,» he said, emphasizing his qualities as an exemplary leader, which have served as an inspiration to military personnel and civilians alike.
In his speech, General in Chief Padrino López also emphasized that the Bolivarian Revolution has driven a transformation in the Venezuelan military structure, promoting a more humane and inclusive model, aligned with the Civil-Military Union.
