This Wednesday morning, a flight carrying more than 200 Venezuelans deported from the United States (US) arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.
With a plane from the US airline Omni Air International Flight, landed flight number 39 of the Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland) Plan, which has already transferred more than 6,000 Venezuelans.
Officials from the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Red Cross, are on hand in the place to ensure all necessary protocols are followed following the disembarkation of this new group of Venezuelans.
It should be noted that the reactivation of this plan follows negotiations between the US and Venezuela on February 10, 2025.
President Nicolás Maduro and the Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, are conducting these flights to ensure the safe return of our fellow citizens persecuted by the US government. To date, more than 6,000 fellow citizens have arrived in the country through the Vuelta a la Patria Plan.
