Venezuelan migrants have become a political strategy

The Minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, asserted that Venezuelan migrants have become a political strategy, making it clear that migration has become a business.

In this regard, Ñáñez indicated that «There was developed a structure that profited by turning the migrating Venezuelan population into a political strategy. Once this situation got out of hand, those responsible no longer exist.»

He then said that «President Nicolás Maduro has taken this situation personally, so that all Venezuelans can return. We cannot, therefore, do anything but support mothers separated from their children, and fathers imprisoned without reason or proven cause.»

Regarding the denounce filed this Monday by the head of the Unified Command of the Revolution, Jorge Rodríguez, regarding the kidnapping of 18 minors in the United States, the Minister for Communication and Information emphasized that «For the Venezuelans there is nothing more sacred than a child. The Venezuelan people express their sorrow and solidarity in condemning what is happening to Venezuelan children separated from their parents and then placed in the custody of unknown individuals.»
