Venezuela and China will promote a permanent study group on critical thinking and sovereignty to bring realities closer together and understand unique aspects that foster political communication and cooperation between sovereign peoples.
This was stated by Freddy Ñáñez, Vice President for Communication and Culture, during his speech at the 1st Hong Ting Forum, which was held at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas:
«This historic meeting is possible thanks to the political will of both nations, which have elevated their relationship to the highest level, consolidating a strategic alliance that is all-proof, all-time. Beyond political and economic exchange, this alliance represents an ethical, cultural, and ideological platform from the global south,» asserted Ñáñez.
The forum also addressed common challenges, such as information manipulation, hegemonic narratives, data colonization, the advance of technocapitalism, and the ideological use of Artificial Intelligence.
«In the face of these challenges, the China-Venezuela alliance is seen as a trench of thought and cultural resistance, seeking innovative proposals for the new multipolar order,» he stated.
Finally, he evoked the wise Lao Tzu with a reflection on the power of self-knowledge, emphasizing that this forum constitutes a «common space from which to understand, participate in, and transform the universe.»
«China and Venezuela, united by their will to fight, dignity, and sovereignty, embark together on the path toward a new world called the Global South,» he emphasized.
