Venezuela and Panama will reactivate consular relations for the benefit of their citizens

The Chancellories of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Panama inform the international community and their respective citizens that, given the urgent need to address the consular affairs of their nationals, they have agreed to reactivate, in the coming days, the consular services of Panama in Caracas and of Venezuela in Panama City.

This was announced by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, through the following communiqué:

The Chancellories of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Panama inform to the international community and to their respective citizens that, given the urgent necessity to attend the consular affairs of their nationals, have agreed on the reactivation, in the coming days, of Consular Services of Panama in Caracas and of Venezuela in Panama City.

This measure has as a priority goal to bring assistance and protection to the Panamanian and Venezuelan communities residing in both countries.”
