On his Con El Mazo Dando (Hitting with the Hammer) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Diosdado Cabello, Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, criticized the United Nations (UN) for its stance on the persecution of migrants in the United States by the government of that nation:
«The United Nations does not exist,» he stated, while comparing the organization to an «appendix of the human body: all they do is bother; they hurt at any moment, but they do nothing, they’re useless, and they’re even right there,» referring to the organization’s headquarters being located in New York City.
He added that the persecution of migrants in that country is constantly being seen on social media: «They are the ones who continue the persecution of anyone who looks Latino, Arab, Asian, or African. They persecute them, imprison them, torture them because they are not given food, they spend all day handcuffed.»
He also spoke about the dismissal of Venezuelan migrants that began this Wednesday at a supermarket chain called Walmart, to which he «thanked María Corina Machado for this situation. Thank you, thank you, because you say that what Donald Trump is doing is perfect, it’s an impeccable strategy; this is against Venezuelans. These people have no shame; they have no way to complain to their boss about their level of subservience.»
He also described these US policies «as pure fascism, but the Venezuelan people know that this is their family, their homeland; come, here we’ll all move the country forward, in here we will advance together and united for this nation.»
Those who govern the United States cause unjustified harm to the Venezuelan people:
Cabello pointed out that the policies adopted by the United States (US) government cause unjustified harm to the Venezuelan people:
«They are bad people, they are fascists, they are supremacists, they think they own the world and persecute our people for no reason,» Cabello emphasized, expressing his rejection of the international actions that affect the South American nation.
He also emphasized that certain accusations directed at Venezuela have been dismantled, and added that «they no longer talk about the Tren de Aragua (Aragua Train – defunct criminal gang); they are big liars and manipulators.»
On another note, Cabello questioned the recent measures implemented in El Salvador, which has mandated that migrants in the country must undergo a review of their legal status, which he described as a worrying decision in the context of human rights.
