Venezuela issues a travel alert for all Venezuelan citizens wishing to go to the United States of America, as a measure of security and protection of human rights, which have been violated by the current US administration, as announced the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic, Yván Gil.
“We urge Venezuelan citizens currently residing in the United States to consider leaving the country. This alert is issued because today, Venezuelans in the United States are victims of a systematic pattern of human rights violations, being arbitrarily detained, separated from their families, and transferred to concentration camps in third countries,” added Gil in his message posted on his Telegram channel.
Venezuela’s Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs reiterates that the current US immigration policy «constitutes an unacceptable practice reminiscent of the worst chapters in contemporary history.»
He also questions «the use of immigration blackmail and the criminalization of our nationality» and describes it as the cruelest xenophobic operation in the Americas, «promoted by Venezuelan and North American ultra-right wing figures.»
