«I reject and repudiate the withdrawal of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelan migrants, because it is a right they have,» denounced the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the modernization of the Dr. Joel Valencia Parpacén Maternal and Child Hospital of the East.
Along the same lines, the Head of State asserted that one of those implicated in the criminal attempt to suspend TPS for Venezuelan migrants was the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Marco Rubio.
In this regard, it is worth mentioning that last Monday, May 19, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Donald Trump administration to advance towards ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS), as a measure to curtail the human rights of Venezuelans in the country.
TPS is a temporary program implemented during the Joe Biden administration that allowed Venezuelan immigrants to live and work temporarily in the United States.
Consequently, the President has emphasized on the reunification of all Venezuelan families, requesting the full support of the «people of Venezuela to make the country a strong and great homeland.»
«From Venezuela, we will speak all our truths, no matter who it might fall on, because we have found the plan and the method to move forward,» emphasized the President, referring to the fact that the most important and greatest thing the nation has is the national conscience of a society that wants to build a great country.
