The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) began its territorial deployment in support of the National Electoral Council (CNE) as part of Plan República (Republic Plan) 2025, designed to ensure the security, custody, and logistics of the electoral materials that will be used in the upcoming elections on May 25.
The operation seeks to guarantee optimal conditions for the peaceful and transparent conduct of the electoral process, as revealed by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, General Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his Instagram account.
The military deployment, announced through official social media with the slogan «La Patria Es Primero!(Homeland Comes First)«, includes the protection of voting centers, custody of ballot boxes, and support for CNE authorities throughout all phases of the process. This action is part of Article 328 of the Constitution, which assigns to the FANB the defense of national sovereignty and institutional stability in events of high relevance to Venezuelan democracy.
It is worth remembering that an electoral simulation was held on May 10th ahead of these elections, so that Venezuelans could become familiar with the voting process. After concluding this activity, the Vice President of the CNE, Carlos Quintero, stated that the Electoral Branch «is prepared to guarantee a transparent, secure, and efficient process on May 25th. We have satisfactorily met all the objectives set, demonstrating the solidity of our technological platform and the capacity of our human team.»
He also thanked the voters who made this exercise possible and reiterated his commitment to participatory democracy:
«In the coming days, all the data collected will be evaluated in detail to implement the final necessary adjustments.» The CNE invites all Venezuelans to actively participate in the upcoming elections, trusting in the transparency and security of the electoral system,» he emphasized.
