This Tuesday April 29 officially starts the electoral campaign for the 2025 National Assembly, Governorship, and Legislative Council elections, according to the approved electoral schedule. Thus was announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
It was reported that until May 22 at midnight, candidates will have the legally established space to present their proposals, ideas, and management plans to the country, according to the position they are seeking.
Through its Telegram channel, the CNE calls on all political organizations, candidates, the media, and the general public to promote a «harmonious, constructive, and respectful campaign of electoral laws and regulations.»
Likewise, it is focused on the debate of ideas, committed to peace, ethics, and conscious participation. It also emphasized that the electoral process is a fundamental expression of the power of the people, and its implementation must reflect pluralism, respect, and responsibility toward the voters.
On May 25 will be held elections for governors, legislative councils, and representatives of the National Assembly, with the participation of 6,687 candidates from 54 political organizations, including 36 national, 10 regional, and 8 indigenous organizations.
