A total of 313 migrants arrived in Venezuela from Mexico

A total of 313 Venezuelan migrants arrived at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in La Guaira state on a flight from te Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland) plan, as reported by the Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

He explained that of this number of repatriated migrants, 151 are children: 60 men and 102 women.

«Of these, six children are unaccompanied, and 16 women are pregnant. All will be cared for under the established protocol for receiving our Venezuelan brothers and sisters,» he indicated.

Regarding these children, Cabello clarified that they will be handed over to their relatives in the country, who have already undergone parentage checks.

He added that they will comply with the protocols established for other repatriations, which include medical care and identification, especially for minors, as well as checking their criminal records to determine which of them have any open cases in the country.

Minister Diosdado Cabello stated that with this flight, the National Government has rescued 1,610 Venezuelans already through the Vuelta a la Patria Plan, which he assured will remain active and ready to receive all Venezuelans who wish to return.

«Today another flight arrives from Honduras (…) with migrants from the United States. And tomorrow (April 4), one will arrive directly from North America,» explained Cabello.

It is worth mentioning that President Nicolás Maduro emphasized on Wednesday that these repatriations were possible thanks to «coordinated work with the Mexican government, and we are going to rescue Venezuelans who managed to flee persecution in the United States and other migrants who have been held captive in prisons by the US government.»

Kidnapped Migrants:

During his statements, Cabello demanded that the Salvadoran government, led by Nayib Bukele, release and return to Venezuela the 255 Venezuelans held captive at the Terrorism Confinement Center (Cecot), where they were sent by the Donald Trump administration:

You have these Venezuelans arbitrarily kidnapped. Do return them. They haven’t committed a single crime in El Salvador, and if they committed crimes in the United States, it’s up to the American justice system to judge them,” he stated.

Furthermore, Cabello denounced the US government’s “disarray” in sending repatriated migrants, as it doesn’t match the agreed-upon number of people. He also called them “liars” by accusing them of being part of the “Tren de Aragua” criminal gang:

«It’s a lie, we haven’t received a single person who may be part of that criminal group. There are several who have committed crimes, yes, but they have no connection to this gang, which is already extinct in Venezuela, and those who remained were taken away by Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe (former presidents of Colombia) (to use them) to harm Venezuela,» he concluded.
