President Maduro receives Donald Trump’s special envoy and raises «zero agenda» with the United States government

The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received Richard Grenell, special envoy of the White House, by request of the American ruler Donald Trump.

The representative of President Donald Trump arrived in Venezuela in the afternoon, and was received at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, accompanied by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil.

It has been confirmed that Richard Grenell, special envoy of the White House, formally requested an audience with President Nicolás Maduro, as highlighted by the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, through the Telegram network.

This meeting, held at the Government Palace, once again reaffirms the policy of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace led by President Nicolás Maduro, who proposed a «zero agenda» when accepting the meeting.

Grenell’s diplomatic career includes being ambassador to Germany (2018-2020), director of National Intelligence of the United States (2020), and special envoy for peace negotiations in Serbia and Kosovo (2020), positions he held in Trump’s first term.

The politician, who is also a member of the Republican Movement, was appointed as presidential envoy for special missions by the US president on December 14, 2024.

In context, Venezuela and the US broke relations when former President Barack Obama declared by decree that the land of the Liberator Simón Bolívar was an «unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States of America.»

Since 2019, during his first term, Trump has applied a strategy of «maximum pressure» against the legitimate government of the national leader, Nicolás Maduro.

In this new era, the Bolivarian Revolution under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, raises the flags of peace that guarantees a democratic model of cooperation and dialogue with nations and peoples.
