AN declared former presidents of the IDEA group as «persona non grata»: They seek to sow chaos in Venezuela

This Tuesday, the deputies that make up the National Assembly unanimously approved an agreement in repudiation of the «interventionist statements of a group of fascists of the international ultra-right wing who, without invitation, have announced that they will accompany the inauguration in Venezuela of Edmundo González», in order to destabilize the country.

During the first ordinary session of the year, the Parliament maintained that the announcements by a group of former Latin American presidents is an attempt to sow chaos during the legitimate inauguration and oath of Nicolás Maduro in the Palace of Justice.

Deputy Rodbexa Poleo Vidoza was in charge of presenting the agreement, which points out that the statements from American governments questioning the election results and the inauguration of the president represent actions that violate international law:

Edmundo is a liar, a coward and a traitor”, said Poleo.

The agreement establishes that the opposition’s calls are part of an “agenda of aggression” against the Government and the “sovereign people”.

As a second point of the agreement, Parliament declared former presidents Andrés Pastrana (Colombia), Vicente Fox (Mexico), Felipe Calderón (Mexico), Mario Abdo (Paraguay), Mireya Moscoso (Panama), Ernesto Pérez Balladares (Panama), Jorge Quiroga (Bolivia) and Laura Chinchilla (Costa Rica) as persona non grata.

He also urged the national Executive to establish diplomatic mechanisms to «expel» the former presidents for being «fascists», if they enter the territory.

During his participation, President Jorge Rodríguez pointed out that the former presidents “are involved in crimes such as drug trafficking, organized crime, pedophilia, human trafficking» and acts of corruption.
