Electoral process for Justices of the Peace ends successfully

Has ended successfully the election process for Communal Justices of the Peace, which took place in “a wonderful and extraordinary journey spread across all the states of the country and we can say that at this time in the majority of the Communal Electoral Circuits and each of their Electoral Commissions are in the process of totaling the results,” as reported the spokesperson for the National Electoral Commission of the event, Pedro Infante.

He also highlighted that this process will result in the awarding of the more than 30 thousand communal justices of the peace elected by the people: “There are 4.862 Communal Circuits and in each one of them three main judges were elected with their respective substitutes by universal direct and secret vote, as mandated by the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Organic Law of Communal Justice of Peace”.

He acknowledged the work of the members of the electoral commissions and the communal circuits, «men and women who have been the ones who have directed the election of communal judges of peace, organized the horseshoe, served as secretaries, writing down, one by one, each person who went to elect and enforce the will of the people through the vote».

In addition, he congratulated and acknowledged the support of the National Electoral Council who appointed a center coordinator in each one of the communal circuits «for the great technical and professional capacity at the time of carrying out this election»; as well as to the Bolivarian National Police and “the popular-military-police fusion that was present to guarantee full security and absolute tranquility so that the people could express themselves.”

He extended his greetings to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, who through the Republic Plan “activated in an extraordinary way with their militiamen, militiawomen who are still deployed.”

The first vice president of the National Assembly also announced that this Monday they will be deployed in the 335 municipalities of the country to carry out the corresponding proclamation acts.

He highlighted the participation of the people “who were up until late at night fulfilling their right to vote. In addition to the work of the electoral commissions, which are currently counting the votes.”

Infante said he was sure that with the justice that will be imparted based on what has to do with communal justice of the peace, “the people will be able to continue building paths of greater happiness, equality and prosperity for all.”

He extended his recognition to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, «who never hesitated and who, as soon as the law was sanctioned and promulgated in the National Assembly, immediately proposed to move forward as soon as possible with the election of the communal justices of the peace.»
