President Nicolás Maduro called for the Great Popular Congress for January 2025

During the commemoration of the 165 Years of the Battle of Santa Inés, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called for the Great Popular, Peasant, Communal, Militiaman, Fisherman and Aquaculturist Congress for January 2025, as part of the remembrance of Ezequiel Zamora’s Day.

The Head of State also issued a series of announcements to the Venezuelan people on the proposals made by the peasant movement regarding the strengthening of the People’s Power:

– Was approved the creation of the Peasant and Fishermen Social Action Brigades, to serve rural communities in a deep and comprehensive manner, with health, Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), Barrio Adentro modules, recovered schools and comprehensive social care.

– Was approved the foundation and creation of a Great Confederation of Peasant and Fishermen Forces, for the organization of the new era with the 7T Plan; in order to group peasant diversity and all its expressions in a single block of force, with all its productive and combat capacity.

– (Was held the) Creation of the National Peasant Militia, National Fishermen Militia and the Armed Combatant Corps of Peasants and Fishermen.

Likewise, he instructed the Minister of People’s Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez; The Minister of People’s Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado; the Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Menry Fernández; and the Minister for Aquaculture and Fisheries, Juan Carlos Loyo, to the creation of an immediate implementation plan to reinforce the entire peasant planting movement, and that of the School Conucos (small farms).

With this idea, it is proposed that the peasant movements enter into the work of massification of the conucos in all schools and high schools, within the framework of the Carlos Lanz Rodríguez movement.

In addition to this, he ordered the creation of Productive Brigades of all the fields of the country to produce in La Vergareña and in the Patria Grande del Sur project, which consists of 160,000 hectares delivered, of which 10,000 have already begun to work with the Landless Movement of Brazil and a Brazil-Venezuela Camp of Peasants.

The President added that 10,000 more hectares were given to another project that is being set up by ALBA, with a perfect fusion of the People’s Power, to advance and accelerate empowerment, organization and deployment capacity; this as part of the proposals for organization, production, education and defense, to defend the Homeland and the productive territories.
