President Maduro celebrates UN resolution against Nazism

This Tuesday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the recent resolution against the glorification of Nazism that the United Nations General Assembly approved last Monday. A total of 116 countries supported this declaration, promoted by Russia; which represents «the new multipolar and pluricentric world that is being born, of which Venezuela is modestly a part,» as expressed by the head of state on his Telegram channel.

«Humanity must do more to put an end to fascism, neo-fascism and Zionism, and the Homeland of The Liberator Simón Bolívar is doing the same,» said the national Executive through the digital publication. In contrast to the countries that supported the resolution, 54 voted against, including countries such as the United States, Ukraine and the United Kingdom; while 11 nations abstained from voting.

Likewise, President Maduro indicated that the Bolivarian Government continues to «neutralize any outbreak of hatred, discrimination and violence, the project of the fascist international has no place in our territory»; a statement that is relevant to Venezuela, due to its fight against the outbreaks of far-right violence recorded on July 29, and in previous years:

«We salute and fully support the struggle of the brother Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and his Government,» concluded the national leader. In that order of ideas, Venezuela promoted and held its own World Parliamentary Forum against Fascism on November 4 and 5, while the Antifascist Youth Congress is planned to be held from November 21 to 23.
