The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated the “Simon Bolivar” mining and coal complex in Táchira state, where the governor of the Andean entity, Freddy Bernal, and a group of Venezuelan businessmen were present.
«We are going to officially proceed to inaugurate today, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, this powerful coal mining complex in Táchira,» he stressed.
This mining and coal complex is part of the plans that the Bolivarian Government has been advancing, within the framework of the Strategic Plans with the private sector, with the purpose of increasingly improving the economic progress of the Nation and continuing to defeat the sieges of the national and international right wing in economic matters.
This coal and mining plant is capable of producing between 8,000 and 10,000 tons per month, in its initial phase, for export; the mineral is valuable, since without this mineral, steel cannot be produced, a component that will be used for the construction of ships, airplanes, etc., that is, everything that has to do with steel.
Governor Freddy Bernal clarified that this strategic alliance is made up of the national government through the Venezuelan Mining Corporation (CVM), the regional government of the Táchira state and the national business community.
President Nicolás Maduro sent greetings and congratulated the workers of this coal mining complex in San Antonio del Táchira, claiming that victory lies in unity:
“We must unite the productive force of the working class with the productive and investment force of national businessmen, who want and love Venezuela, and let us go together to work and prosper. Our model is a model of inclusive socialism, of a diversified economy, of productive socialism, that is the center. We defend Venezuela and we defend peace, because with peace everything is possible, to build the national unity, reunion and reconciliation by working,» instructed Maduro.
President Maduro concluded by saying that he is proud that his land – he said – “that my beloved land San Antonio del Táchira can celebrate its 300 years of progress, in harmony and in peace, with security and inaugurating this mining and coal complex”, claiming that for the Bolivarian Government nothing is impossible.
