The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed regarding the recent attacks by Israel against Gaza and Lebanon: “Who gives the bombs to Netanyahu to attack Palestine and to bomb residential areas in Beirut? The same American empire under the complicity of the now decadent European Union.”
Likewise, the head of State addressed the resurgence of fascism in Europe, noting that “the main weapons of fascism have re-emerged in the years after Nazism. It emerged in Europe, it has a criminal monarchical heritage.” Maduro recalled the Russian Revolution of 100 years ago and how the privileges of the European elites led to the massacre of workers’ movements, promoted by the United States.
Furthermore, President Maduro compared the violence of the fascists of the world with what the extreme right wing does in the country: “We are facing monsters, here in Venezuela it also happened with Robert Serra 10 years ago and we captured one of the masterminds.”
Later, “with all the support of Colombian intelligence, at that time, it was concluded that the order to assassinate Robert Serra was given by Álvaro Uribe, with the fascists of Venezuela, Leopoldo López and company. These are monsters who manipulate and stimulate hatred, intolerance and go from verbal violence to physical violence, they continue, but we have to continue sowing love to the Venezuelan youth.”
