The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the resurgence of Russia as a superpower and stressed that the strategic brotherhood between both nations has been consolidated with relations on all fronts of work, with political, diplomatic and military coincidences, at 100%:

“Russia has a relationship of deep strategic brotherhood with Venezuela (…). We have consolidated relations on all fronts of work: in energy, in industry, in agriculture, in education, in economics, in politics, we have 100% political and diplomatic coincidences,” he detailed.

He also praised the resurgence of Russia, stating: “It is one of the new superpowers. It has returned to occupy its historical role, now with its own strength, renewed strength. Russian society is a very powerful society”.

High Level Russia-Venezuela Commission:
The President announced that at the end of 2024 the Intergovernmental Commission of the two countries will be held “and there we will leave, already sealed, a strategic alliance for the next ten years.”

The Dignitary reiterated that “Venezuela counts on Russia as a big older sister. And Russia counts on Venezuela as a fundamental force in Latin America,” reaffirming the importance of this alliance in the current geopolitical context.
