During the Presidential Week segment, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, highlighted that Venezuela has recently concluded major international agreements with the Landless Movement (MST) of Brazil and the Republic of Türkiye to advance in food production and consolidate a strong economy that generates wealth for the country.
Taking stock of the day, the Head of State noted that Vice President Delcy Rodríguez is in Türkiye, to consolidate the strategic alliances generated during the second Türkiye-Caracas 2024 International Fair, which took place in Miranda state:
“We are generating an economic, energy and financial plan with Türkiye for the next six years,” said President Maduro, highlighting that “the proposal to hold two annual fairs starting in 2025 was approved. The next one will be in the first quarter of the year and will be held in Türkiye, while the second will be held in the second half of 2025 and will be a comprehensive fair that covers all the fields that both nations deserve.”
Likewise, the national leader referred to the meeting with representatives of the Landless Movement of Brazil, in which it was agreed to promote the Patria Grande del Sur (Big Homeland of the South) project in Bolívar state, through which 10,000 hectares will be worked to produce food for the country:
“It is a beautiful and great Big Homeland of the South project, where the peasant movements of Venezuela and Brazil will be together, to start a project to create awareness, values and food, on the La Vergareña farm, in Bolívar state. The MST of Brazil will lead the way, because it has the experience in the successful recovery of land for production,» he said.
He also recounted the celebration of the 19th anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb) and assured that during the day all the military defense plans, the Bolivarian doctrine and the civic-military-police union were strengthened.
He said that the objective is to guarantee a perfect fusion for the integral defense of the Nation.
