The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced that as of September 15, the call for popular innovation will be opened, to receive proposals and projects from communities in order to face sanctions:
“I announce the call for the reception of proposals for productive technological innovation projects starting on September 15, in the context of the activity of the creative powers of the people, technological innovation in the face of sanctions”, he said.
In this sense, the Minister of People’s Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, said: “In each research experience we find in the communities the inventiveness of our people, creativity, innovation, reverse engineering.”
She explained that the call «wants to reward that work, that exercise and the recognition of the creative powers of the people, in the proposal of solutions that have to do with agricultural production, with diseases, with engineering, with roads, with so many elements of innovation that our people have generated.»
The minister added: «We want to learn from them, we want to accompany them in the strengthening and then we go with the communities, with the communal councils and with the communes, to recognize popular innovation.»
Likewise, Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez pointed out that “each commune has a technical table for science and technology. We even have Scientific Seedbed programs at the community level, at the commune level,» this to accompany the processes that our people require so that each of these prototypes become experiences of technological-based entrepreneurship.»
The information was highlighted during the inspection of the progress in the construction of the University of Sciences of Venezuela, «Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán», led by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
Was also highlighted the expansion of the financing program for scientific and innovative projects, going from 210 to 465 fully funded projects, to consolidate important solutions in health, agriculture, and industry and move towards the empowered Venezuela.
