Through a statement, the National Electoral Council (CNE) reported that they abide by the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), in which it was ratified the victory of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in addition to requesting the publication of the final results of the elections held in the country last July 28:
«The Electoral Power in compliance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice and the electoral regulations, complies with the decision and within the period of law will comply with what is ordered by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice» expresses the document issued by the representatives of the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The entity highlights that, in the aforementioned decision, the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ declared “the Electoral Contentious Appeal admissible, based on the expert report carried out and verified in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner, and based on the report prepared by national and international electoral experts that “certified in an unobjectionable manner the electoral material examined and categorically validated the results of the presidential election issued by the CNE.”
Likewise, the Chamber corroborated the massive cyber attack suffered by the Electoral System, and “urged us to publish the final results in accordance with the provisions of article 155 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes.”
