Venezuela’s constitutional powers face fascist coup d’etat

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, denounced that the failure to comply with the summons issued by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) by the former candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, represents a fascist coup d’etat against the Powers of the Constitutional State of Venezuela:

«So he does not go to the TSJ because he says he recognizes the CNE (National Electoral Council) and he does not go to the CNE because he says he does not recognize it, it is a fascist coup d’etat against the Powers of the Constitutional State of Venezuela,» he denounced.

He also detailed that this Wednesday, the political parties that supported the former candidate were summoned by the highest judicial body:

There are three cards that were on the ballot, but one thing was what they declared inside before the court and it was recorded where they recognized that they have no records, that they have nothing, that it is a farce, they recognized a thousand things… And then when they went to the microphones, they went out to shout out loud, all (kinds of) falsehoods (…), the three parties that attended have recognized judicially that they have nothing, that everything they have publicly maintained is a lie, so in the Supreme Court there is a constitutional process of the highest level, which I do not hesitate to describe as a historic judicial process,” he said.

He also reiterated the absence of Gonzalez Urrutia before the Venezuelan justice indicating that “he did not go to the judicial summons, that carries serious legal consequences, he did not show his face, he hid, they have nothing.”

Today they summoned the candidate of fascism, the war criminal, murderer in El Salvador and now murderer in Venezuela, Edmundo González Urrutia. He is a criminal. Since the day of the elections he hid and sent a group of criminals, of young people who were hired to attack hospitals, schools, statues, people, -he ordered- to burn, to destroy, and he hid, he washed his hands like Pilate, he washed his hands and hid,» he detailed.

The Venezuelan President continued to denounce the attitude of González Urrutia, whom he accused of trying to destabilize the country through the X social network because “now he is hiding and is worse than -Juan- Guaidó, he then intends to do politics (…) the candidate of -the old- Twitter (X) and he proclaimed himself as president already and the right wing comes out to proclaim him as president, Guaidó part two,» he warned.

The Venezuelan leader and President concluded his speech by reaffirming the sovereignty of the country and calling for the unity of the people.

We are playing with the future of Venezuela’s existence. There are those who want to lay their hands on the country because of our wealth, our history, the nobility of this people, and to those people who have attempted to attack Venezuela in the past, we say: We are prepared, we are united, the truth belongs to us and victory is ours, the victory of peace, of the constitution, of sovereignty, of independence and of republican ideas, of socialism, of the twenty-first century. Farmers, peasants, fishermen, and fish farmers are alert to combat, to battle, and to victory. Long live Venezuela, my beloved homeland,” he stressed.
