The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Friday that the United States (US) is leading the coup d’état against Venezuela, led by multimillionaire Elon Musk, and supported by right-wing governments in the region.
This was stated by the head of state, in relation to the lack of recognition of the results of last July 28 by the US and its satellite countries who do not recognize Maduro’s victory for the 2025-2031 presidential term:
«It is a coup d’état directed and financed by the US government, by the international fascist right wing with Elon Musk, Javier Milei. The extremist right wing is supported and financed by international Zionism, they are behind the coup d’état,» said the head of State during a press conference with national and international media at Miraflores Palace.
He also pointed out that the right-wing candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, as well as those who support him, do not recognize any institution or the Powers of the State, in order to continue the coup attempt:
«They do not want to recognize any institution and the national and sovereign mechanisms of Venezuela. They only want to maintain the farce show in order to justify new coups, new violence, new destabilization,» he stressed.
These statements by the National President were made regarding the failure of the candidate Edmundo González to attend the summons issued by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), to appear before the investigation that begins from the contentious electoral appeal filed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, regarding the elections of July 28.
In this regard, he denounced the silence of the international media against the investigation that will be carried out by the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ:
“After reviewing all the portals, the news centers of the US, Europe, Latin America, there is a silence on this news in the world, it is censored, banned, covered up, silenced because they do not want the world to know that in Venezuela there is a constitution and strong institutions, and the Electoral Chamber will investigate, learn about and resolve this electoral dispute,” he emphasized.
