Independent sectors of the opposition ratify their support for President Nicolás Maduro

A group of opposition mayors from several municipalities in the country, who declared themselves as independent, attended a meeting at Miraflores Palace with the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in order to provide him with unconditional support to his presidential candidacy, for the upcoming electoral process next Sunday, July 28.

The group of mayors present in Miraflores stated in a general sense that they support the candidacy of Nicolás Maduro because they are tired of the hatred and lies that sectors of the opposition advance daily to the detriment of the progress and future of the Homeland.

Among those present were the Mayor of the Obispo Municipality of Barinas state, Adrian Azuaje, the Mayor of the Samuel Dario Maldonado de la Tendida Municipality of Táchira state, Eduardo Negrette, the Mayor of the Píritu Municipality of Anzoátegui State, Jesús Méndez, the Mayor of the Tinaco Municipality of Cojedes state, Juan Carlos Zamora, the Mayor of the Juan German Roscio Municipality, San Juan de Los Morros of Guárico state, Sulme Avila, the Mayor of the El Socorro Municipality of Guárico state, Luis Pinto and the opposition leader Carlos ProsperI.

For his part, Nicolás Maduro, accompanied by the president of the National Assembly Jorge Rodríguez and the first combatant woman, Cilia Flores de Maduro, thanked the support of these Venezuelans to whom he expressed his appreciation and progress in the different projects for the benefit of Venezuela, adding that he will not disappoint them and that upon winning the elections he will invite them to the Palace, where he will sign the great national dialogue and the great economic, cultural, political and social agreement for Venezuela.

He stated that being mayor is one of the most difficult public positions that exist in our country, clarifying that he has had to go through very difficult times and face oligarchic sectors and empires, but thanks to God and the Venezuelan people, he has been able to overcome them:

Many puppets and oligarchs want to sit in this presidential chair and, just like you, I have had to face oligarchic sectors and empires, but we count on God and he alone decides, and this meeting with you, leaders of the independent opposition, is a sample of the deep Venezuela that entered a win-win phase, we are going towards better times and those who are hating only aspire to sit in this chair to impose their outrages and hand over our wealth to the powerful in the north.»

President Nicolás Maduro assured that he sees a renaissance in the streets and that it is his turn to lead this great crusade for the changes and transformations that are coming in our country.
