The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stated this Monday night that, “On behalf of the people we embrace and congratulate Julian Assange for his release.»
Through his account on the X social network, the head of state said that Assange’s release represents the triumph of freedom and humanity’s fight for respect of Human Rights.
“Assange is an example of courage and bravery in the battle for the truth. «Justice will always prevail!» said the Venezuelan president.
It is worth mentioning that the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, left a British prison and is heading to Australia, as reported by WikiLeaks on its X account.
Assange left the Belmarsh maximum security prison this Monday morning after spending a total of 1,901 days there. The High Court in London released the journalist on bail, after which he left the United Kingdom.
