During the installation ceremony of the “Venezuela Nuestra” (Venezuela of Ours) Campaign Command, the president of the National Assembly, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted the achievements of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, naming him as a fundamental pillar for the peace of the country, while highlighting that the president has been a key figure in overcoming significant challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the fight against organized crime:
“Here is a decent man who comes from the depths of the people of Venezuela, a man who brought peace, helped successfully overcome COVID-19 in our country. He defeated the criminal gangs, that man is our candidate, and his name is Nicolás Maduro Moros,” emphasized Rodríguez.
Likewise, the deputy also called on the Venezuelan people to make a crucial decision about their future, focused on the successful development of a freer and more successful society. “This is the moment for the people of Venezuela to decide what it wants, to decide if it wants to be free or succumb to the influence of the United States.”
For his part, the head of state reinforced his anti-imperialist stance and his commitment to the sovereignty of Venezuela, and affirmed that both he and his governing body are “a historical force, which has received the blessing of the peoples«.
