The Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium in Caracas was filled with life and culture with the inauguration of the “Viva Venezuela” World Festival, a ceremony that was proudly led by the president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and began with a vibrant ceremony that honors the rich cultural tradition of the country and praises traditional music artists who exalt the national identity:
“We have the vaccine to the destruction by the Western capitalism, and the vaccine is our culture, our identity, our music, our values,” said the head of state when inaugurating this great event that highlights national diversity and that, during 10 days, will also be deployed in the La Guaira and Miranda states:
“We are lifting up what is the greatest about our country, its culture, its poetry, its roots in the face of the invasive processes of deculturalization and foreign transculturation, but we have the vaccine against the cultural distortion of Western capitalism, our own values,” said the Venezuelan head of state.
President Maduro added that we must defend what is ours in the face of savage capitalism: “Let the drums sound with open doors, long live Venezuela, today we inaugurate the Great World Festival of our Culture, of the Venezuelan affirmation, of our values, of our identity.”
In this sense, thousands of attendees gathered to give a start to this cultural meeting of global importance, where cultors, musicians, artists, exponents of national and international tradition and heritage bearers come together to offer a show that reflects the diversity and talent of Venezuela.
Likewise, the activity is characterized by an impressive display of joy and color, where representatives from all the states of the country exhibit their art and traditions, which is why the festival promises to be a showcase of Venezuelan cultural heritage and a meeting point for the celebration of its cultural legacy.
