Presidents Maduro and Petro held work meeting in Miraflores

The Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his counterpart from Colombia, Gustavo Petro, shook hands warmly at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, to begin a work meeting that will strengthen bilateral ties between the sister nations liberated by the Father Liberator Simón Bolívar and as part of the Peace Diplomacy of the Revolutionary Government.

Each dressed in a cap that symbolizes their respective countries, the two leaders shared with the first combatant woman, Cilia Flores, the civil and military authorities present, as well as with the media covering the meeting, before going to the Presidential Office.

The head of state of Colombia arrived in Venezuela half an hour earlier, at the Maiquetía Airport, where he was welcomed by Chancellor Yván Gil, the same one who accompanied him to the Presidential Palace.

This is the fifth time Petro visits Venezuela and on this occasion both leaders will review the progress of the bilateral relationship, according to the work agenda agreed upon between Chancellos Yván Gil and Luis Murillo, during a meeting in the city of Cúcuta to reinforce the Neighborhood and Integration Commission between both governments.
