President Maduro revealed that on April 11, 2002 there was an attempt to kill him

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, revealed that on April 11, 2002 they were looking for him to kill him but he escaped through the Cota Mil roadway (in Caracas).

During the broadcast of the 40th “Con Maduro+” program, the Head of State highlighted that 22 years after the coup d’état perpetrated by the extreme right wing against Commander Hugo Chávez, the Bolivarian revolution is still standing.

From Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Maduro stressed that Venezuela will deepen democracy and freedom. “22 years later here we are, standing, searching for the best paths of the Homeland, seeking to deepen democracy, freedom, searching from the Venezuelan affirmative, from our identity so that the profound being of Venezuela, a magical, miraculous, blessed country, our country is what points the paths of the future,” he emphasized.

Maduro stated that today, Monday, April 8, exactly 22 years ago, was the week in which Venezuelan families lived in danger, by an oligarchic coup, “and we had to live it, 22 years already. 20 years is nothing, and it seems that 22 is nothing either.”

The Dignitary said that that week from April 8 to 11, 2002, was a “moral and political eclipse.” “Dark Thursday, April 12, of dissolution of powers, and the 13th, of joint, spontaneous, almost telepathic popular military insurrection. And on April 14, Easter Sunday of the legitimate powers of the country.”

The National President thanked the Venezuelans for following the presidential program week by week, and assured that the work of the Bolivarian Government reflects “the beauty of the soul of the ordinary man and woman, and that soul draws a better future for all men and women“.
