President Maduro: Hugo Chávez trained a people to resist

Hugo Chávez trained a people to resist,” said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in edition number 9 of the Maduro Podcast, from the Cuartel de la Montaña, (Mountain Barracks), located in the populous parish of 23 de Enero.

Accompanied by Commander Chávez’s youngest daughter, Rosinés, and Adán Chávez, brother of the Eternal Commander, President Nicolás recalls Chávez’s day-to-day advice:

“Once I asked him: Commander, why do you have to go out every day? (…) and he answered me: Look, Nicolás, you have to talk to the people, you have to sow values, if you talk to the people, always, the ideas arrive, the minds awaken… because the war they have against us is brutal”, he evoked.

Chávez specified that “you cannot stop guiding the people, sowing values,” and he (Chávez) “had that determination, awareness and clarity. I understood why he did everything. It was a school of leadership, Chávez, always since FEB-04 – 1992.”

In this edition he invited Rosinés to remember Chávez’s angle as a father, a moment that was ideal for the young woman and to share «how through love he transmitted so many things, to us as children.»

“In my case, since I was little I had the love for reading, the love for understanding others, and sharing. As a child, I remember that there were things that were difficult to explain to a child, but with action is how one understands it,” he expresses.

With love – she said with feeling – if you see your father always with a book in his hand, helping others, without understanding the political issue very well, but understanding his love for our country. It is beautiful, it is the blessing that he gave us (…) even there he was for the country, for our history.”

In edition number 9 of Maduro Podcast, Adán Chávez recalled that his brother Hugo was in love with baseball, however, he narrated the process in which Chávez became passionate about the military world, so he decided to leave baseball and make life in the military academy.

President Nicolás Maduro said that Chávez was a great military leader who marked another history «in fact he represents a military generation of great doctrinal impact for the entire continent, because the model of the Bolivarian National Armed Force was created by Chávez as a cadet, until Chávez as Commander in Chief. Chávez with the doctrine that he created, is for this time and for future times.”
